Applied Training Systems is a partnership of 4 fast growing SaaS companies that provide online HR solutions to small-mid-sized companies, and we are in need of a strong Sales Development Representative

We are looking for someone who is energetic, tech-savvy, and creative with excellent written communication skills and highly organized. You’ll be joining our exceptional marketing team to drive huge impact for exciting, growing companies with significant potential.

Our sales, support, marketing and engineering teams are committed to building gorgeous software that helps organizations deliver modern, easy to use, HR systems. 

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) will play a critical role as we continue to build out our sales and marketing engine to support our fast-growing business. The primary focus is to provide stellar and extremely fast follow-up to our inbound leads and help them schedule demos of our products.  You will work closely with marketing to support campaigns, manage the lead flow, qualify buying interest, and cultivate opportunity in target accounts.  You will also coordinate closely with the sales teams to support prospecting activities for priority accounts to secure a sufficient flow of additional qualified opportunities. 

You must be an independent self-starter that can manage your schedule on a daily basis to meet the daily workflow requirements.

The SDR very often has the initial (and therefore most important) opportunity to make an impression on a prospect so you will be responsible for ensuring a positive experience that will set the stage for effective sales follow-up.  Driving excitement, creativity, and relationship building into every customer call is crucial.  A successful candidate will be a self-starter, with a high-energy, positive phone presence, and a track record of effective, credible lead follow-up and sales development at multiple levels within an organization.

Responsibilities include:

  • 90% emails, plus a few phone calls to establish demo appointments for sales people.
  • Coordinate appointments with sales people.

  • Use spreadsheet/database/CRM to track progress.

  • Conduct email campaigns to prospects as developed.

Position requirements:

  • Personable, dynamic, energetic, and ambitious personality; able to establish quick relationships.

  • Beautiful, succinct writing skills. Able to easily connect with a few words over email.

  • Organized person with strong time management skills.
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Office, Gmail, etc.).

  • Strong business acumen and negotiation skills. Focus on a win-win strategy.

Compensation is a base salary plus bonus commissions.
